PROCESS

     Creating a dress starts with a meeting of ideas between myself as designer and the person who will wear the dress. As I discover the needs and ideas of the person for whom I am designing, a design is created and sketched. The sketched design is given life with a selection of fabric and color of fabric. The first fitting of the design is very basic. Changes to the original design can occur as the fittings progress. Some dresses can be made with one or no fittings and some dresses, especially wedding gowns, will take several fittings.
